Wedding Wednesday: THE Checklist
For anyone who has checked out my Pinterest boards, you would see I am all about organization and duplicates. I am also all about being thorough. Throughout my time pinteresting things for a wedding, I apparently pinned several different Wedding Timeline Checklists. Some were religious, some were different timeline lengths and others were just the basics.
With all of these choices, which one do you pick for your wedding timeline checklist? Well, if you are me, you pick every single one of them, read them all and use them to create one super complete list for you!
When looking at all the different checklists, there was plenty of “to do's” that were duplicated, such as finding a venue, picking out your dress, getting a band/DJ, ya know, the basics of a wedding. What was different between each list was the intricacies; some lists had ordering your cake 4 months in advance, some had 6 weeks. Seeing all this differing opinions on the lists gave me a little more insight into the process and what pieces could have a little wiggle room.
Making my own list also allowed me to add specifics related to me onto the list. Do we want to have any dance lessons and if so, when? When do we need to plan and order the welcome bag items for our out of town guests? Reminders to stay off my feet and relax to keep my RA at bay the couple weeks before.
This particular list here is my checklist of the major To Do’s up until a month before the wedding. The weeks leading up to it have their own separate checklist that I will cover at another time when looking at it doesn’t give me a stomachache. The times on here may vary for others; things like Pre-Cana may be earlier in the process, but I just put it around the same time that it was suggested to look into Pre-Marriage Counseling.
What did you use for your wedding checklist? What timeline did you have set for your wedding? Anything you don’t see on this checklist that I should add?
