Hi there.

Welcome to my blog. I document all my adventures, big and small. Enjoy your Adventure!

2319 Day: Monsters Inc in the Disney Theme Parks

2319 Day: Monsters Inc in the Disney Theme Parks

How awesome! To have two 2/3/19’s in one year!!! This is when it is celebrated in countries that put the date before the month. I thought, today, I would talk about what is done and what I wish they would do with Monsters Inc in the US Disney Parks. (See my post last month with my text commentary during the movie)

You know it would be amazing. You just know it.

You know it would be amazing. You just know it.

What exists already? Not a whole lot. There is a dark ride on Disney’s California Adventure that is super adorable. In Florida, you have some meet and greets and Monsters Inc Laugh Floor in Tomorrowland. The jokes are cute, but overall, I don’t find this attraction to be a must do on every visit.

They have created this incredible universe, why would they not want to immerse people in it?! Don’t get me wrong, I am super excited to see Toy Story Land on our next trip, but there is still a part of me that wishes they would have made Monstropolis instead! Bring the dark ride over from California! Have unique signs all over the streets related to monsters! AND HARRY HAUSENS!! Hollywood Studios could seriously use some new dining options and how fantastic would that sushi restaurant be?! An OCTOPUS Audio Animatronic that does a sushi cutting show!!! This stuff just writes itself!!!

And then, or course, there is the coaster. If you have ever seen the movie, you know that the door warehouse scene was just made to be roller coaster inspiration. It has been rumored for years to actually be coming to Hollywood Studios and last I heard, pieces were actually made for it and the buildings and queue designs were picked out, but sadly, 2008 hit and it was one of the projects that got scrapped and has yet to see the light of day.

Well, a girl can dream. What would you like to see added to the theme parks for Monsters Inc? Would you have ridden that door coaster?
